From Cleveland to Texas

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, his family moved to Plano, TX, when he was a youngster, and since that time, he has been proud to call Texas his home.

Education and Background

Ian Kalis attended Jesuit High School before earning a soccer scholarship to Duke University. He later transferred to Southern Methodist University to major in sociology. Upon graduation from SMU, Ian was selected by FC Dallas in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft before changing careers and enrolling in law school at Marquette University in Wisconsin.

After meeting his wife, Ian returned to Texas to practice law with his father in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. As a personal injury attorney at McCraw Law Group, Ian focuses on serious injury cases. He finds all cases rewarding as they give a voice and a path to justice for the injured. He is passionate about all his cases, including those involving children injured due to another party’s negligent or reckless act.

Ian takes pride in empowering these children to regain their footing and ensuring they have a promising future ahead.
